MY FIRST TATTOO
Since my bike has no upper cross bar, I cant straddle the bike to keep it upright when I stop. So everyday when I stop, at least once everyday the chain leans on my leg and leaves this chain mark, I just decided to make it permanent.
Heading for France today, people who live here tell me the French coast is even nicer than the Spanish coast. Thats hard for me to believe, but Ill see soon enough.
Until next time

Hi, I have been following your blog a bit and it looks great. I have a BIke Friday question. How is the trailer on public transit. When you travel by bus or train is the trailer a hassle? Would using say 4 panniers be easier? (I am going to Scandinavia in a month and can’t decide which approach to use). Thanks.
Mike,
Thanks for reading and writing. The distance I was covering required I have the trailer/suitcase in case I needed to transport the bike when bikes are not allowed, I could fold and go, its happened only once, but it happened. If your bringing your bike you’ll need something to transport it in? I bought front panniers, but with the trailer I felt I didn’t need them. I suspect you’ll be able to put your bike on any train without having to fold it. You’ll have to store the carrier somewhere after you land. I left my bike at the hostal in Seville for 2 weeks for free. For a month you’ll be fine with just panniers and no trailer. I highly recommend Bike Fridays folding rack, it has outperformed my expectations.
Good Luck & don’t over pack!
Jeff
Perfect tatoo!
Hey, we’re enjoying your home, and enjoying reading about your exploits!
You really got the tattoo. Looks like you are having a great trip and thanks for the postcards! Ready to retire there?
yep!
