APRIL 20 2013-14 BIKING LISBON TO ISTANBUL
I worked on a political campaign for a year and as a “reward” (for trying), I decided to ride my bike from Lisbon to Istanbul. It took sevens months. I biked through Portugal, Spain, France, Monaco, Italy (hardly), Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece, Turkey. Then I went to SE Asia, without my bike for 3 months: Thailand, Myanmar, Cambodia. There are blog stories about all these countries-use search box.

APRIL 2014- JUNE 2017 LIVING & BIKING IN EASTERN EUROPE
I got married in Slovenia and lived there (here) for 3 years. Slovenia is near the center of Europe, about the same distance to Amsterdam as it is to Istanbul, about 1500 km (approx. 1000 miles). We did several bike trips, CZECH , HUNGARY , DRAVA RIVER and numerous weekenders around Slovenia.
JUNE 2017-MARCH 2018 BIKED PORTLAND, OR. TO DEATH VALLEY, CA. & MORE.
We had planned this trip together, but a divorce made for a change of plans. I lived in Oregon for 40 years and had never ridden the Oregon Coast. I had ridden the Northern California coast 7 times and the southern coast once. It was time to ride both coast, at once. I was raised in California and stayed with friends. I biked for 4 months & traveled 5 months.
