BEVOG BREWERY TOUR
I was reading in the Slovenian Times about Bevog Brewery‘s new series of extinction & threatened wildlife beer cans. I called to see if I could buy some, they mentioned they were having an event the coming weekend. Yep, first trip of year.

Bevog Brewery is technically a Slovenian brewer, but is actually located just over the border in Austria. There’s a really nice campground near the Brewery. This is my third time at this campground, so I know I have to bring cat snacks for Charlie. The Bevog event was super fun,

I took the train to Celje and biked to Velenje. I took a different bike route into Velenje and what a beautiful ride..

LJUBLJANA TO BLOKE LAKE
My favorite relaxation place in Slovenia is Bloke Lake. I was on my way to the Floating Castle Festival a few years ago and it was the only camping about 1/2 way. Since then it has come my favorite recommendation for people looking to escape the crowds of tourist at the hot spots.

KRANJSKA GORA TO MOST NA SOCA
The Soca valley is known as one of the most beautiful areas of Slovenia. I wanted to visit before the tourist onslaught arrived and fills every campground. Traveling here for the 6th time has made me feel more at home every time I visit. I’ve ridden the Vrsic pass 3 times without an e-bike and 3 times with an e-bike, much easier with, just saying..

I just got back from a 3 1/2 week tour in the UK and 1 week in Barcelona.. I had my tablet stolen while riding the bus, so was unable to post anything. I did the Beatles Bike Tour in Liverpool and rode The Wales coast to Portmeirion. Then biked from Bristol to Brighton and on to London. I’m working on that post now.
