Ryan was our trusty park ranger. He worked 4 miles from Myers Flat and hadn’t seen the bumper sticker yet, yep I bought him one. The saying was so true yesterday but not as much today, if you grow marijuana. 10 years ago marijuana grown here sold for $5,000 per pound, today it can be bought for $600 per pound on CraigsList. I stayed at Prairie Creek Campground, with the HUGE Redwood trees and Elk sightings, if your lucky. I hiked to the “BIG TREE” and other big trees.

This is my farewell tour to Oregon, biking the coast I’ve been living in Slovenia for the past 3 years but felt the need to have a formal farewell. I want to move back to somewhere in the EU, maybe Slovenia. America doesn’t represent my values as much as the EU does.

I hated to leave Sunset Bay Campground, there’s so much to see and do there I’ll definitely try and come back. All the camp host and park rangers were great. Everyone is super friendly and pretty funny too, (great combo).

BIKING THE OREGON COAST PART II: Yachts, Florence, KOA, North Bend/Coos Bay.
To set the record straight, the Coast Bike Route on highway 101 on the Oregon Coast, is no holiday. The cars are fast and the shoulder is from nothing to 6 ft (9 meters). I will NEVER-EVER ride the Oregon coast again. I’m staying at campgrounds their max stay- 3 days, just to avoid getting back on the highway. I stop at all rock shops and most art galleries, I’ve been sending myself souvenirs all along the way. There’s a huge Methamphetamine and Heroin problem all along the coast, very sad. I finally got a hair cut.
